Salvador Dalí was a Spanish painter and is considered one of the most important representatives of surrealism. As a child, he was very interested in painting. He received his first painting lessons at the age of 10 from Impressionist artist Ramón Pichet.
In 1941, Dalí gave up his surrealist style for more universal artistic themes.
