Lodovico Guicciardini, in Dutch Lowijs Guicciardijn, was an Italian-Dutch writer and cartographer. For most of his life he lived in Antwerp.
Guicciardini’s books were illustrated with maps, cityscapes and plans. Several well-known engravers collaborated on the prints. He is best known for the description he made of the Netherlands in his time, the Descrittione di tutti I Paesi-Bassi.
