Jan Jacobsz. Bouman was a seventeenth-century typesetter, bookseller, publisher and printer in Amsterdam. He printed textbooks, tragedies, religious texts, pamphlets and medical books. Also travel stories, such as a folk book of the Journaal van Bontekoe and accounts of Willem Cornelisz Schouten’s voyage of discovery.
